Event Tabling Volunteer

Description: Do you love traveling, summer festivals, and the Queer Community? You would make a great Event Tabling Volunteer for Genderbands! We are looking for a detailed and friendly individual who can help run booths at Pride events and conferences. 



Job Responsibilities


  • Unloading / Loading up vehicle at event

  • Set up / take down of table and tent

  • Arranging merchandise

  • Selling merchandise and accepting donations

  • Use Square point-of-sale device to take money and track sales

  • Informing people about our programs and services along with answering questions

  • Communicate via Slack and email

  • Other duties as needed

  • Report to the Volunteer Coordinator

Requirements

  • Reliable transportation to and from events (transportation will not be provided or reimbursed). For some events you can carpool with Genderbands event lead.

  • Should be available for at least a 4 hour shift, though events can last all day

  • Must be available on the weekends

  • Most events will happen during Pride Season which is June - September. However, events will be ongoing throughout the year. 

  • Must wear a mask at all Genderbands in-person meetings and events, regardless of vaccination status or whether the event is indoors or outdoors

  • Familiar with slack, or willing to learn

  • Familiar with Square point-of-sale or willing to learn

  • Able to read, write, and speak English fluently

  • Passion for Genderbands’ mission of helping transgender people pay for transition-related costs
